Stove Fans

Ecofan® help make your log burning stove more efficient. They work by pulling cool air from behind your stove over the top of the wood bruning stove where the air is heated and pushed into the room instead of the hot air rising straight to the cieling. The main benifits of an ECOFAN® are they, Increase your comfort within your room, costs nothing to operate, cuts your fuel costs by maximising the heat from a log burning stove and they are both safe and silent.

Test's by a candian university have proven that placing an ecofan® ontop of your stove can save you as much as 18% on your fuel costs. Once placed on your log stove the ecofan® will start running automatically as the stove heats up, the hotter the surface of the log burning stove gets the faster the ecofan® will run. As the fire within your log burning stove burns out and the surface tempreature decrease the speed of the ecofan will slow untill it stops.

Ecofans are heat powered fans designed to circulate the warm air created by a wood burning stove operating with normal surface temperatures of between 85°C and 345°C. Warm air is circulated directly into the living area rather than having most of the stove's heat rise immediately to the ceiling, thereby increasing the heating efficiency of your stove.
