The Merry Month of May

The Merry Month of May

So 2023 continues to move faster than fire, and here we are arriving into the Merry month of May.

We’ve come through a long old winter this year, that's managed to throw its curve balls at us like the Big Freeze, Snow and enough bad weather to last us all a good couple of years.

But as the summer months get so close you can almost touch them, we're back for our monthly update.

So before I get into this month's stock updates, a quick couple of notes from me.

The Fireside Shop will be closed on the following days.

May 1st 2023 - Bank Holiday Monday.

May 8th 2023 - The Royal Coronation

May 29th 2023 - Bank Holiday Monday.

So any orders or inquiries will be dealt with on our return on the 2nd, 9th and 30th respectively.

In terms of the stock itself, again more and more things are beginning to become unavailable as we head towards our big summer restock for the new season. Anything out of stock currently will more than likely stay that way until the big restock later this year.

However, some better news. Another customer favourite is back in stock (at the time of writing this) The Schott Robax Ceramic Stove Glass Dry Wipers are finally available again. We still have stock of other favourites like the Coal Bunkers, EcoFans and various Calfire Cleaning products that were featured in last month's edition.

As always remember to keep tabs on us by following our social media channels

Now for the good part, in fact, my favourite part of the blog.

Are you ready for something that is OUT OF THIS WORLD?

We've featured these heavily as of late - it's the range of Outdoor Products.

Let me explain to you why I feel like they're out of this world.

From Fire Bowls to self-assembled Fire Cubes, Chimineas and accessories. We’ve got you covered this summer with some of the best high-quality outdoor fire products you can get your hands on.

From wanting a centrepiece to get the neighbours talking, to a subtle number to gather around after a family BBQ the outdoor range has something for everyone.

The Apollo Chiminea come in two sizes, made from Corten Steel a corrosion-resistant material designed to produce an attractive rusty colour over time when exposed to the outdoors. These chimineas are some of the best I've ever seen. They are high quality and if you like the rustic look you'll absolutely adore these. Oh and one last thing, did I mention they're British-made?

Another product in the range is one of the easiest products I've ever had the privilege of buying. The CalCube. Designed by our friends at Calfire, this Fire Cube requires very little assembly. No nuts, No Bolts just 5 pieces of 3mm mild steel that all join and slot together to give you the perfect outdoor fire that can be situated anywhere in the garden, and again, they're another British Made Piece

Next up on the list we have the range of Fire Bowls. Available in different sizes, again these offer you something that'll suit your needs down to ground. The best thing about these Fire Bowls is, the optional BBQ rack you can add to them, giving you the best two-in-one product if you’re a bit stuck for space. Why not light the fire, get the grid out use it as a BBQ for your friends or family, and then simply sit around it later when the sun starts to set? Sounds like a no-brainer to me.

Lastly, I come to the list of accessories we've got for making the perfect outdoor setup this summer. Kicking things off with the FiAir blower. This little device is the modern equivalent of a set of bellows. Powered by 3 AAA batteries it's got enough power in it to speed up your open fire, stove or BBQ this summer. We’ve got so much more that I could include but this month's article is long enough we've got things like Kiln Dried Kindling and a whole host of other fantastic products for you to enjoy this summer.

Who said Fires just had to be for the Winter eh?

Not so much a customer review this month but my own personal take on these products.

I've bought both the CalCube and the Medium sized bowl along with the FiAir blower a couple of years ago, and honestly, I have nothing but good things to say about them. The cube allows me to change the location in the garden when I feel like it. From the Patio to down by the man cave (shed) it gives me the freedom to sit wherever I chose and enjoy the peace and quiet next to the open fire and cracking sounds that come from the wood. The bowl is the perfect centrepiece for small gatherings in the summer, there's been many a time when I and my friends and family have all sat around the fire on a summer's evening chatting and spending time together. There really is nothing better.

Thats really it for this month. I know it's a bit of a biased review this month, but I see and talk about products like these every single day, and for me, there's not a lot that really comes close to the quality of those mentioned.

I'll leave it here for this month,

But as always

Remember to keep those Fires Burning.
