Coal Buckets & Coal Hods

Next to an open fire to provide an excellent a ready supply of fuel, for when building a fire or when the fire is already lit.

Coal Buckets, Scuttles or Hods come in a variety of sizes, styles and finishes-  traditional and modern metal buckets or wooden tub styles.

They may have a lip design on one or both sides, two handles on the back one small fixed handle and one large semicircular moveable handle for easy handling, or just one moveable semi-circular handle at the top to provide protection for the hands from the heat of a fireplace. The taller more tubular Coal Hods have pronounced lips and angled openings at the top, with fixed handles on back to make easy work of scooping coal directly from a coal bunker. Used for carrying coal directly from the coal bunker outside, or they can be replenished from a galvanised coal bucket and shovel to prolong their lifespan.

For wood burners we offer a wide variety of log baskets and log trays available for your convenience. Log baskets are available in many different designs and materials. High sided log baskets are popular as are open designs which are highly practical for loading and unloading wood fuel.
